BASOLAN:
The Basolan process is carried out on wool tops prior to spinning in a modified backwasher system using Basolan, a special chemical which modifies the structure of the wool fibre.
The process imparts a degree of anti-felting which renders knitted garments easily hand-washable
MERCERIZED:
Mercerized Merino treatments make Merino wool even softer and more luxurious, ideal for next-to-skin wear. The Mercerized treatment process imparts a degree of anti-felting which renders knitted garments machine washable.
NATURETEXX PLASMA:
Dry process treatment using electricity and air to deliver machine washable Merino wool. Alternative to chlorine-based treatments that is GOTS, OEKO-TEX® and bluesign® certified. www.naturetexxplasma.com
TOAL EASY CARE:
Total Easy Care Merino garments are all machine-washable, and suitable for tumble-drying. The Wool is treated with Chlorine followed by the application of a resin, which encapsulates the scale structure of the wool fiber.
X-CARE®:
Chlorine free anti-shrink treatment using a process of treating wool fibres with eco-friendly substances to deliver washable Merino wool. The treatment is bluesign® approved and GOTS certification. X-CARE is available in 2 version: X-CARE HW (hand washable), X-CARE MW (machine washable)
- SINGLE
The ring spinning technology provides the widest range of the yarn. The twist may be different depending on the product application and the counts that can be spined. The single yarns could be used directly or could be twisted 2-ply or multi-ply.
- TWISTED
Conventional yarn two or more ply. Twisting gives the yarn an increased strength, regularity, compensates for thin and thick places that are natural of the yarn.
- CORE-SPUN
With Core-Spun we spin staple fibers around a base of filament, creating a covering of staple fibers over the inner filament core. The yarn has excellent elasticity and resistance.
- BETA-SPUN
Beta-Spun technology involves filament which is wrapped around a roving made by staple fibers. Hight performance abrasion and optimal pilling grade, less hairiness, top resistance
- X-COMPACT
The yarn produced this way has better and uniform yarn formation hence reduction in yarn hairiness and improved strength and elongation, better pilling performance.
- SIRO-SPUN
Yarn made by two rovings with parallel fibers ply together. soft, clean effect, good performance.
- SIRO-CORE
Stretch yarn made by two rovings spun together with elastane filament in the middle. Soft, clean effect, good performance. The yarn has elasticity and resistance.
OEKO-TEX® 100 (class 1+2):
Textile-specific certification that focuses on consumer safety. Assures that no harmful substances were used in the production of fabrics or are present in the final product. www.oeko-tex.com
bluesign®
Bluesign is an Input-Stream-Management-System. The certificate focuses throughout the supply chain on ecological production, resource productivity, air emission, occupational health and safety, water emissions and consumer safety. The certificate requests one of the strictest chemical and environmental requirements to improve sustainability performance and eliminate harmful substances. www.bluesign.com
Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS):
Global Organic Textile Standard is one of the most recognized organic standards for textiles. It combines social, biological chemical and ecological criteria with transparency along the whole supply chain. Each production step from sheep to final fabric needs to be certified and clearly documented. This is done via transaction certificates from an independent certification body. It is possible to use up to 30% of natural fibres or up to 10% of synthetic fibres/ viscose in a GOTS certified yarn. The remaining 70%/ 90% have to be organic natural fibres. www.global-standard.org
Responsible Wool Standard (RWS):
A standard among farmers, brands and supply chain partners that ensures the protection of the land and that sheep are treated with respect to the Five Freedoms. RWS certified wool tops are always mulesing-free. Every stage of manufacturing involved in the wool production process is certified with transaction documentation in order to guarantee seamless supply chain transparency. www.responsiblewool.org
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®):
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is a global forest certification system to identify products made from well-managed forests and / or recycled sources. It applies to cellulosic fibres such as Lyocell, Viscose or Modal.
Home | Forest Stewardship Council (fsc.org)
Global Recycled Standard (GRS):
Products certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) contain any recycled material which is used at least 20% of the article. But only the products for the end customer with at least 50% recycled content can be GRS labelled. In order to use the GRS Logo each stage of production is required to be certified and all steps clearly documented. In addition, certified organizations have met social, environmental, and chemical requirements. https://textileexchange.org/recycled-claim-global-recycled-standard/
- WOOL:
